We believe in the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that all human beings are born into sin and are in need of God’s forgiveness.
We believe in Jesus Christ, fully God and fully human, as the Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered, died and was buried and descended to the dead. He did this so that sinful humans could be reconciled to the Father. Resurrected by the Father, Jesus Christ ascended into heaven, where he sits at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in justification by faith alone. That is, we, as humans, cannot be justified (made right) before God by our own strength or works, but are freely justified when we believe that we are forgiven through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Rom 3 and 4).
We believe that the Holy Spirit comes to people through the hearing of the God’s Word, and the reception of the Sacraments (Baptism and Holy Communion).
We believe that good works follow faith and that Christians are called to a life of obedience and faithful discipleship.
We believe that the Grace of God is offered through the Sacrament of Baptism, and that both adults and children are to be baptized.
We believe that true Body and Blood of Christ are present in the Lord’s Supper (the sacrament of Holy Communion) and through this meal God forgives sins.
